It’s 20 years in jail if convicted of drug trafficking

CRANES defender Hassan Wasswa could spend a maximum of 20 years in prison if found guilty of drug trafficking in Turkey.

The 23-year-old defender was arrested on Wednesday night at Istanbul’s Ataturk Airport allegedly for drug possession, according to Dogan News Agency.

Wasswa was stopped by the airport police and was found in possession of 5.5 grams of cocaine during a routine check ahead of a domestic flight to Kayseri, where he turns out for Turkey second division club Erciyesspor.

Uganda Cranes' CAN 2012 qualification delayed by Angola

Angola aka Palancas Negras (Sable Antelopes) beat Uganda Cranes in the Nations Cup qualifiers to revive its chances of qualifying for next year's African Cup of Nations in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea. The Palancas Negras beat Uganda 2-0 at Luanda’s 11 de Novembro stadium in Group J’s fifth round.
