David Obua's House: Luxury of a Rich Ugandan Footballer

David Obua has had great success so far in his years as a Ugandan International and a professional footballer.

The Ugandan superstar has also achieved quite a lot in his private life, being the owner of a mega-mansion that is under construction in Munyonyo on land he purchased at sh250m three years ago.

The temperamental Ugandan star seems to have planned his five bedroom retirement home with facilities like an average soccer training pitch, a   50 x 50 swimming pool and a stable for horses, an inbuilt cinema, a gym, sauna and steam bath.  It also has two garages. He also plans to fit the home with top-notch fittings and furnishes, which are being ferried in from Italy. The house will also be fitted with a life-size bar and banqueting hall room for his high-end friends.

The wealthy former Uganda national team player—who also owns two residential properties in Edinburgh, Scotland plans to buy a Yacht and dock at the Munyonyo Cape pier.

The 27-year-old left sided ace who is thought to have splashed out £500,000 on the plush pad in his native Uganda, is one of the country’s biggest football exports. Most Ugandans earn less than 50p a day.

Obua who most recently played as a Midfielder for Scottish Premier League club Hearts and the Uganda national team is currently a free agent after he was told in April 2012 that his contract with Hearts would not be extended.

The 2007 South Africa Player of the Year, won during his time at Kaizer Chiefs, is reported to be in talks with undisclosed Qatar side however other reports suggest he is likely to rejoin his former beloved South African Club Keizer Chiefs.
